From the beginning, Your Best Friend's Closet was a huge success!  Although the store opened in November 2004, the store was "in the making" for more than 10 years!  Marianne had the best garage sales with fitting rooms, carpet, departments and even cookies.

 

Marianne always dreamed of having her own little boutique and now she has so much more than that.

 

   You truly are a 'Best Friend' and you can always find a friendly face, hear a joke, share a laugh, and even a shoulder to lean on.

 

Come for the clothing, stay for the fun, return for the friendship!

 

 

Store Manager - Kathleen                                                                                                                

Kathleen has been working at YBFC for over 4-1/2 years.  She doesn't really like people and her main title - other than Store Manager - is "annoyer".   We appreciate how serious she takes her job title.  If you're looking for customer service at YBFC, stay away from Kathleen.   Funny thing is, people love HER!

 

(In all seriousness, Kathleen is a huge asset to YBFC.  She is responsible for all our email marketing, website design, promotional material, and all around go-getter.  Her most important asset to Marianne, is the sense of humor Kathleen brings to the store. As Kathleen says, "if Marianne didn't think I was funny, I wouldn't have a job"....

But truthfully, YBFC wouldn't be the same without her! )

Asst. Store Mananger - Deb Stemke

Deb Stemke has been working at YBFC for over 3-1/2 years.  Her kind demeanor and great customer service skills are why people love her.  Deb enjoys working at YBFC because of the fun she has in seeing such happy customers.   Deb wears many hats in her life, including Real Estate Agent and her husband Pats' Band Groupie.

Inventory Control - Sales Associate -  Kathy 

For the past 3 years, Kathy has been keeping YBFC organized.  From the Drop, Shop & Runs, to the high standard of quality items accepted for the store.  Her wit has everyone laughing daily and her professionalism keeps us on track.                               Kathy enjoys quilting in her spare time.  Check out the beautiful  YBFC quilt hanging in the store.

Non-stop working Sales Associate - Janet Burkhalter

 

For the past 2 years, Janet Burkhalter has been helping customers put their best foot forward and feel good about themselves!  She enjoys working with people and helping them find exactly what they need or want.  Be it a pair of shoes, a piece of jewelry or an entire outfit.  Her pleasant personality makes everyone feel warm and welcome as if she was welcoming you into her home.                            

In her 'real life', Janet is a teacher at Marlowe Middle School.  She also  enjoys producing and costuming all the MMS plays and Performance Readings.   Theater is in her blood.  She loves to see children succeed in all they do, and it shows!  

"If Angie can't dress you, no one can!" Sales Associate Extraordinaire - Angie Warda

With many years of experience in sales, consignment and retail, Angie brings a wealth of knowledge to YBFC.  Previously having owned her own Consignment Shop as well as having  worked as a sales assoc. for Chas. A. Stevens, Angie knows her stuff!  Customers return often for Personal Shopping with Angie.  Her fashion sense and style keeps customers happy with their new purchases  and thrilled with the inexpensive cost.  When Angie isn't working at YBFC, you can find her at the Golf Course, watching a football game, working in her yard, or being with family and friends.  

Display Fashionista, Sales Associate, Playwrite  - Holly Burkhalter

Holly brings to YBFC her young, hip style.  In the past year of working at "the closet", she has transformed wall displays, mannequins and glass cases to reflect what's in style now.  Anyone in need of Personal Shopping knows that Holly is someone who will patiently and effectively find you exactly what you're looking for.  Her subtle suggestions help you step outside 'the box' to find a more beautiful you!   Holly is a writer in her 'real life' and someday will be a published playwrite.   Her most recent play, 'Little Boy Blue, What Happens When The Sleeping Shepherd Wakes" - was a huge success.

"Nickle Tour" Guide, Sales Associate, Nurse, Mary Kay Sales Rep, the list goes on - Joanne Bratta

When you first meet Joanne, with her million dollar smile, empowering eyes and friendly dispostion, you'd swear you just met Snow White.  Customers love Joanne and the way she makes them  feel because Joanne truly loves people.  She enjoys helping women realize their greatest asset - themselves.  In the short 7 months Joanne has worked for YBFC she has changed the lives of many.  She will never forget the time she helped her first customer select a dress for a very improtant date.  The woman was beautiful and loved her look.  She couldn't wait to return to YBFC to tell Joanne about her date and how georgous 'he' thought she was.  All thanks to Joanne.

The Boss' Son - Zack

Zack enjoys working at the family business for the experience.  Going to college in the fall and interested in a degree in Entrepreneurship, Zack hopes one day to own his own business.  He's learned much about Customer Service and the ins and outs of owning your own business by working at YBFC  for the past 5 years.  He believes he is an asset to YBFC because of his "good looks and skills".     We agree!
